With the death of Nido Taniam, once
again the intolerance of national capital Delhi is exposed. There are, however,
some reasons for it.
- There is a divide between rural and urban class. Irrespective of the fact that surrounding rural areas have contributed towards growth and development of Delhi, they are not able to mix up with urban Delhi. The lifestyle and culture remains poles apart. Delhi failed to be a melting pot.
- Delhi police is not under the direct control of Delhi government. Delhi is Union Territory and capital of our country, so for security and administration compulsions Delhi police is not under the direct control of Delhi government. It complicates operations and made difficult the law and order plans to funnel down properly.
- The most common problem of police in India. Our police is not updated and ill equipped. With the advent of technology the society has changed a lot, but our policing remained the same. Though it is impossible to predict any crime but by the use of technology it can be minimize for sure.
