Reservation - Political necessary evil in India

Since independence, it is now well established that the reservation system has all been misused and unable to fulfill for what it was created. Initially it was mooted to do compensate what wrong and subjugation done to the lower and backward castes but now it lost all its reason to exist. 

The reservation benefits are all cornered by a section of SC, ST & OBC, majority remain insulated by the benefits of the reservation and their conditions never being changed. The reservation systems are not of any benefits to society as well. Students or workers promoted on the basis of reservation never given the chance to develop skills and competitive edge. Reservation is the false impression of equality and growth. On the other hand reservation is creating inequality and heartburn in other sections of the society.  Political parties cannot do away with it for the want of popularity and votes. 

The existence of parties like BSP, SP are based on it. So any party trying to do away with reservations would give boost to these parties. Congress support to continue with the system of reservation can be, thus, understood. What’s worst - some parties even suggested reservations on the basis of religion as well. Reservation is a political necessary evil which fosters inequality, injustice, heartburn, corruption and divides society.

Malshej Ghat Accident - Case of Human Error

Once again human error is said to be responsible for the death of 30 passengers in Malshej Ghat where a state transport bus collided head on with the tempo and fell into a deep gorge.  Driving in hilly areas is totally different from driving in plain areas. Drivers who have experience and skills in driving through plain may find it difficult and challenging to drive in hilly areas. The gravity at the inclined plane and sharp turns made it very difficult to control the vehicle. Also driving after sunset and before sunrise challenges further as drivers are unable to gauge the sharpness in the turns properly and driving is done purely on the assumptions. Desperation to win

The desperation in BJP to win general election 2014 is evident. It is not shy away to strike an alliance with any regional potential political outfit. The closeness of BJP with MNS in Maharashtra has already raffled feathers in longtime ally Shiv Sena. The latest episode of inclusion and exclusion of Sri Rama Sena chief in Karnataka is another example. Earlier party cleared the ticket to those who were involved in Muzaffarnagar riots. The infighting of the party is known to all and sundry. Every senior leader is fighting their own prestige battle.
