Politics of vandalism

With the attacks on the toll booth and threaten to disrupt the roads, ”Rasta Roko”, proposed on 13th February by MNS, the politics of seeking attention raises its head again. Rudderless of the issues to fight for, MNS started the agitation just months before the assembly elections. Rumors and reasons are there to believe hat the MNS has the government backing as SP college is said to be pressurized to deviate from its tradition of 23 years to not to allow its ground to any political party to hold rally, even declined it to PM candidate Modi. Also, MNS is known to share the pie of traditional vote bank of Shiv Sena – BJP alliance which goes into the favor of NCP – Congress alliance.

But these political parties are missing a point. The voters are now more informed. MNS may be successful in grabbing the headlines but at the end of the day voters will have final say. Any politics to divide people, vandalism, and disruption will not succeed, the sense of the voters will prevail at the end of the day.
