It’s ok to have two time zones

India is a country with variant geographies which resulted in difference in time of sunset and sunrise. Assam has done the right thing to set the clock ahead of IST by 1 hour. Though two time zones would have difficulties in administrative control for the centre but if a region can make best out of daylight then why such difficulties should not be shouldered. The provision of two time zones should be to allow different areas to maximize their productivity which would clearly happen in case of Assam. Along with power consumption, unnecessary pressure to work after sunset will also decrease. Keeping in mind of the diversity of the geography of the country, different time zones should be considered.
