Team India needs fast and bouncy pitches at home

The condition of Team India at South Africa is sad but not surprising. Invincible at home our team flounders overseas. It is an open secret that Team India has shortcomings for fast and bouncy pitches. Very few players have the ability to stand these pitches. It does not mean that India have the dearth of talent to play on fast and bouncy tracks but it is due to the lack of preparedness and exposure to these pitches.

In subcontinent we have slow pitches which aid batsmen and have very little say for the bowlers. So the batsmen who are habitual of playing at these pitches seem invincible at home but equally despair overseas. The solution of these extreme performances is that we should have some fast and bouncy pitches at home which will not only expose the batsmen to the realistic conditions elsewhere but also will give the opportunity to the bowlers to horn their skills. 



Team India surrender to fast & bouncy pitches is sad but not surprising

Malshej Ghat Accident - Case of Human Error

Once again human error is said to be responsible for the death of 30 passengers in Malshej Ghat where a state transport bus collided head on with the tempo and fell into a deep gorge.  Driving in hilly areas is totally different from driving in plain areas. Drivers who have experience and skills in driving through plain may find it difficult and challenging to drive in hilly areas. The gravity at the inclined plane and sharp turns made it very difficult to control the vehicle. Also driving after sunset and before sunrise challenges further as drivers are unable to gauge the sharpness in the turns properly and driving is done purely on the assumptions. Desperation to win

The desperation in BJP to win general election 2014 is evident. It is not shy away to strike an alliance with any regional potential political outfit. The closeness of BJP with MNS in Maharashtra has already raffled feathers in longtime ally Shiv Sena.
